Welcome

Something about your Kibbutz Guide and Teacher, Leah Ashkenazy Herz:

I was born and educated in the Kibbutz and I am today a happy, bubbling, well balanced product of its collective ideas as to how children should be brought up. I in my turn nurtured my own children in Kibbutz Givvat Haim Ichud. I am proud of them and all they have imbibed from the ethos of Kibbutz life: its work ethic, its humanism and the richness of its educational institutions from crèche to High School.

I am an accredited and experienced teacher of Hebrew as a foreign language. I have taught adult immigrants for some thirty years in a variety of educational institutions and Absorption Centers. I also have rich experience in on-line teaching. I am an accredited tourist guide with an intimate knowledge of Israel, its highways and byways, its towns and villages and the intricacies of its social and political workings.

I would be delighted to show you around my Kibbutz and talk to you about its quite unique way of life, its economic achievements and its variegated history.

Should you wish to study Hebrew on-line, I am at your disposal - wherever you are and at times you choose as suitable for your needs. My teaching methods are happy in character and always tailored to the specific needs of the learner.

If you live in the centre of Israel, you may choose to receive private lessons in your own home or office.

Thank you for your interest,

Leah
